MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University men's soccer team picked up a 1-0 win against Lees-McRae in Conference Carolinas play on Saturday afternoon. Matty Doyle's header in the 36th minute proved to be enough to ice the game for the Hawks 7th win of the 2025 season.

Chowan got on the board first after Matty Doyle scored off a corner kick in the 36th minute. Doyle headed it in near post after a double-assist by Bradley Binns and Harry Baker.
The Hawks led the match in total shots after getting off 10 shots and holding the Bobcats seven shots. The Hawks and Bobcats defense was the theme of Saturday's match, with Chowan's backline holding LMC to two shots on goal.
Lukas Kibrya picked up two saves in goal for the Hawks and the 7th win of his freshman season.
