MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Hawks secured their second overtime victory over Francis Marion this season, with the win coming at home on Wednesday afternoon.

Going into the game, both Francis Marion and Chowan held 8-2 conference records. The Hawks sit in 2nd place in the East Division, while Francis Marion sits in the 3rd spot.
The Hawks dominated the boards, grabbing 50 total rebounds, including 22 offensive. They dished out 16 assists and forced 12 turnovers, while recording three blocks and four steals. In the paint, Chowan scored 42 points and added 11 fast-break points.
Yasmine Brown reached a new career high of 24 points, surpassing her previous career best of 18 points set earlier this year at Francis Marion. Brown also contributed six rebounds, five assists, three steals, and one block.
Alexandria James-Fearon added 11 points, nine rebounds, and one steal. Nyeisha Savage recorded her 4th double-double of the year, finishing with 11 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
