MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University volleyball team fell to 2-8 overall and 0-3 in Conference Carolinas play after losing in straight sets to the University of Mount Olive on Wednesday afternoon. The Trojans improved to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in league play following the match.

Alexa Wasil led the Hawks with an impressive 15 kills, while Jada Caruthers added 5 kills. Jadyn Brown tallied 6 digs for the Hawks. Sydney Ginaitt set up the offense, recording 21 assists and serving 3 aces, while Caruthers and Wasil each contributed 2 aces as well. Wasil excelled at the net with 4 blocks, supported by Caruthers and Rosa Lynn Collier, who each had 3. Diana Rodriguez anchored the defense with 10 digs, while Wasil added 6 digs respectively.
