Hawks Drop Pair In Spring Break Opener

WINTER PARK, FLA. – The Chowan Softball team struck first in the Sunshine State but could not hang on against Rollins in a non-conference doubleheader to start Spring Break on Tuesday evening.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORES

Mckenzie Misenheimer tallied three hits and a RBI, while Calliope James posted two hits.  Sophia Medina and Haleigh Reid posted a double.  Emily Fowler, Ava Mizell, and Megan Leon picked up one hit each.

Elizabeth Ingle notched a sacrifice bunt that led to the Hawks' only run in game one.  Ava Mizell's bunt single led to a throwing error allowing the Hawks to score in the nightcap.
