Hawks Nightcap Rally Falls Short In Twinbill Loss To Fleet

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Baseball team dropped a pair of Conference Carolinas contests against Erskine to open the series on Thursday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORES

Dawerlyn Amancio and Jackson Dunlap picked up two hits.  Dunlap posted a triple in game one.  Geomar Santana, Tyler West, Caleb Karie, and Ty Johnson added one hit each. 

Chowan had a rally in the seventh inning of game two scoring three runs and left the bases loaded.

Nicky Wohleking took a tough loss allowing one run over five innings with four hits allowed and three strikeouts.

Angel Diaz tossed three shutout innings in the nightcap without allowing a hit.

Chowan wraps up the series on Friday, March 22 with first pitch against Erskine occurs at 12pm.
