MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Baseball team dropped the final two games of the series against Francis Marion on a windy and frigid Monday in Conference Carolinas action.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORES
Geomar Santana and Dawerlyn Amanico led the Hawks with four hits each. Santana posted a walk and two hit-by-pitches, while Amancio added a double and a home run to go with three RBI.
Ryan Bellamy, Caleb Karie, and Christian Bartholomew tacked on three hits each. Bellamy posted a home run and four RBI, while Bartholomew added a double.
Nick Reiss posted a pinch-hit solo home run.
The Hawks rallied in the finale with five runs in the fifth to even the score at 8-all. Francis Marion scored seven runs over the next two innings.
Chowan posted three runs in the bottom of the eighth before the Patriots answered with four in the top of the ninth. Chowan scored twice in the bottom of the ninth before leaving two runners in scoring position.
