BELMONT, N.C. – In a battle at the top of the Conference Carolinas, Belmont Abbey took the decision against the Chowan Women's Basketball team on Saturday afternoon.

Tynasia Bunting led the Hawks with 17 points, while Imani Hickman added 13 points and eight rebounds.  Kaleah Boykin added 10 points.

Chowan would shoot 1-9 from the floor in the opening frame to trail 20-4.  The Hawks would pick up the scoring in the second with 25 points before being outscored 42-23 in the second half.

Belmont Abbey extended their winning streak to 12 games.
