HARROGATE, TENN. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team faltered down the stretch as Lincoln Memorial pulled away in the season opener on Saturday afternoon.

Erik Dozzi paced the Hawks with three points recording two goals and one assist.  USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American, Eric George, collected two assists.

Jacob Maila, Thomas Rohal, Scott Cathcart, and Seth Mackenzie scored their first collegiate goal for the Hawks.  Maila added an assist.  Harrison Buckman and Julian Wolfe posted a goal.

Chowan trailed 6-4 after the first frame before LMU outscored the Hawks 12-4 down the stretch.

Chowan hosts St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, February 10 for the home opener.  Opening face-off is slated for 12pm.
