Hawks Soar Past Trojans with Dominant Performance in Conference Matchup

MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University Hawks matched up against the University of Mount Olive Trojans in a Conference Carolinas game on Saturday afternoon.

The Hawks' bench came up clutch, dropping 29 points. Chowan owned the paint, turning 25 offensive boards into 29 second-chance points. The Hawks grabbed 45 rebounds (25 offensive, 20 defensive), keeping control of the boards.

Desiree Askew, notched a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while also contributing five assists and four steals. Nyeshia Savage added her own double-double, dropping 16 points, grabbing 10 rebounds. Meara Carter added eight points and eight rebounds.
