MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan Hawks played in a tight conference matchup against the Mount Olive Trojans on Saturday afternoon. Daylan Askew took the throne as Chowan's all-time D2 leading scorer with 1,309 points, surpassing Kyree Bethel's incredible 1,298.

The Hawks controlled the game inside, scoring 48 points in the paint and adding 18 second-chance points off 15 offensive rebounds. Their transition game was on fire, racking up 25 fast-break points. The bench stepped up with 23 points, led by Damerius Summers' 15 points on 7-9 shooting.Â
Eric Gordon Jr. and Aaron Ross both delivered career-best performances in today's game. Gordon scored a career-high 14 points, while Ross exploded for 22 points. Daylan Askew dropped 30 points along with five assists and three steals.
