Hawks Fall to Patriots in Four Sets at Home

MURFREESBORO, N.C. -  The Chowan University Hawks faced off against the Francis Marion Patriots at the Hawks Athletic Center in Murfreesboro, NC on November 9, 2024. The Hawks fall to 4-20 overall and the Patriots move to 15-12 overall.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

The Hawks opened the match with a close loss in the first set, 21-25. They rallied back to win the second set 25-22. However, the following sets saw Francis Marion overpower Chowan, with the Hawks dropping the third and fourth sets 17-25 and 18-25, respectively.

Key players for Chowan included Alyssa Thompson, who delivered a game-high 12 kills, and Anna Holcombe and Rosa Lynn Collier, who also put notable numbers on the scoreboard with 9 and 5 kills respectively. Diana Rodriguez notched 46 digs and added 2 aces to the match. Sydney Ginaitt added 38 assists during the game.
