MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University Volleyball team faced off against Erskine in an intense away match on Friday afternoon, the Hawks got the victory in 5 close sets. This victory improves Chowan's record to 3-12 and 1-7 in conference play.  The Flying Fleet will drop to 5-10 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

Alexa Wasil led the charge with 13 kills, supported by Alyssa Thompson with 11 and Rosa Lynn Collier adding 9. Sydney Ginaitt recorded 3 aces, while Jadyn Brown and Anna Holcombe contributed with 2 each. Jada Caruthers was a force at the net, tallying 4 blocks, while Alyssa Thompson added 3 of her own. Ginaitt was busy setting up her teammates, notching 36 assists, with Diana Rodriguez and Caruthers adding 5 and 3, respectively.

Rodriguez led the way with 27 digs, while Holcombe and Brown supported with 16 and 15 digs, respectively.
