Hawks Split Tri-Match, Secures First Win

PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Chowan Volleyball team picked up their first win of the season in a split at the UNC Pembroke tri-match on Saturday afternoon.  The Hawks battled tough against UNC Pembroke in league action before securing the win against Winston-Salem State.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORES

Coach Kameron Beans earned his first win at Chowan with the 3-1 victory over Winston-Salem State.

Ellie Middleton led the attack with a pair of double-digit kills including a double-double in the win, posting 13 kills and 17 digs.

Gigi Ratajesak notched 18 kills including 11 in the win.  Ryan Nored added 15 kills.

Diana Rodriguez tallied 35 digs in the two matches.  Sydney Ginaitt collected 68 assists including a career-high 38 assists against UNC Pembroke.
