MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Seven programs will be competing this weekend in a rare all-road weekend in Chowan Athletics.  Action can be followed on Game Day Central presented by Baldwin Insurance Group.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Chowan starts the weekend with the men's and women's cross country programs heading to Richmond, Va. to compete in the VUU Panther Fall Opener on Friday, September 15.  Andrew Garrison and Kashara Simpson paced the Hawks in the season opening meet.

To kick things off on Saturday, the women's soccer program opens up Conference Carolinas action against Erskine at 10am in Due West, S.C.  The Hawks are 0-2-0 on the season but hold a 4-1-3 series record against the Fleet.  The contest can be viewed on HudlTV along with live stats.

The Chowan Football team will make the trek to Rome, Ga. in a battle of the Hawks, with Chowan taking on Shorter for a 12pm kick-off.  Chowan is 0-2 on the season taking on a 1-1 Shorter program.  This will be the first meeting since Sept. 15, 2012 when Shorter took the contest 28-17.  The contest will appear on FloSports, fans can sign-up for FloSports here.

Shortly after football kicks-off, the other futbol of Chowan Men's Soccer will take on Erskine.  The Hawks are 0-3-1 (0-1-0) on the season but have won the last four meetings against the Fleet, outscoring the opponent 18-4, including 9-2 last season.  The contest can be viewed on HudlTV along with live stats.

Chowan Volleyball steps into Conference Carolinas action to take on UNC Pembroke at 3pm followed by Winston-Salem State in a non-conference match at 5pm in Pembroke, N.C.

The weekend wraps up with the Chowan Men's Golf team competing in the Don Scalf Invitational hosted by N.C. Wesleyan at Belmont Lakes GC in Rocky Mount.
