VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – The Chowan Men's and Women's Cross Country team started the season at the Blue Marlin Invite hosted by Virginia Wesleyan on Friday afternoon.

THE RESULTS

Andrew Garrison led the Hawks with a time of 21:40.17 followed by Kani Ellis (22:29.32) and Ke'Shawn Taylor (22:39.59).  Khiyell Jenkins wrapped up the men's scoring with a time of 31:04.73.

Kashara Simpson paced the women's team with a time of 27:14.98 with teammate Feidi Abreu Rodriguez on her heels with a time of 27:15.26.  Olivia Mock (30:34.42), Valentina Domenicone (33:12.70) and JaCinda Griffin (35:16.71) rounded out the scoring for the Hawks.
