ATLANTA, GA. – The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced their Academic Team Honor Roll on Tuesday afternoon.  Chowan Women's Basketball was listed as a special mention after posting a 3.273 GPA.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.

Chowan received the honor for the first time in program history and posted the highest GPA among Conference Carolinas members with UNC Pembroke (3.077) and Converse (3.065) making the special mentions section as well.
