WILSON, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team was unable to muster the offensive possessions needed to keep pace with the Bulldogs of Barton in the Conference Carolinas Quarterfinals on Monday afternoon on the road as the Hawks fell 19-10.

Eric George posted a hat-trick with four goals and one assist. Erik Dozzi collected four points with two goals and two assists. Jaxon Martin tallied two goals and one assist.
Noah Jalal and Harrison Buckman picked up one goal each while Jalal and Rylan Downey added an assist.
Gavin Koors tallied 20 saves in goal. The Hawks were a combined 3-32 at the face-off spot.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Chowan opened the scoring as Eric George put the Hawks on the board first. Harrison Buckman streaked down the middle of the field and found the back of the net to put the Hawks up 2-0.
Following a Barton goal, Jaxon Martin scores off the double-screen to extend the lead to 3-1. The Bulldogs would even the score at 3-all before Jaxon Martin finished off the counter-attack as Erik Dozzi found Martin for the goal after receiving the pass from Eric George.
Barton rallied to take a 5-4 lead before Rylan Downey found Erik Dozzi in front of the net to even the score. Before the end of the quarter, Eric George found Dozzi in front of the crease to take a 6-5 lead.
The Bulldogs scored five unanswered goals to lead 10-6 before Noah Jalal found Eric George on the extra-man opportunity. Erik Dozzi would find George just 36 seconds later on the EMO to cut the deficit to 10-8.
Barton came out of the half with four straight goals to lead 14-8 before Noah Jalal scored on the man-down off the assist from Jaxon Martin. The Bulldogs quickly responded with a goal before leading 16-9 at the end of the third frame.
Eric George scored on the EMO early in the fourth quarter as the Hawks were unable to maintain possession in the final stanza.
