MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2022-2023 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of March 20 – March 26, Mckenzie Misenheimer of Softball and Tyler West of Baseball for their efforts on their respective teams during the week.

Mckenzie Misenheimer | Freshman | #2 | Outfield | Softball | Rockwell, N.C.

Mckenzie Misenheimer was a tough out at the plate this weekend going 9-14 (.643) with a pair of doubles, a triple, and a home run with four RBI and seven runs scored.  Misenheimer posted a .680 on-base percentage and a 1.143 slugging percentage.

The freshman started off the weekend going 6-7 at the plate against Southern Wesleyan to help gain a split against the Warriors.

Tyler West | Junior | #2 | Outfield | Baseball | Warsaw, Va.

Tyler West led the Hawks at the plate in the series against Erskine going 4-9 (.444).  Although not flashy numbers, West tallied three RBI, a walk, hit-by-pitch, a sac fly, and sac bunt during the series.
