MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2022-2023 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.
For the week of March 13 – March 19, Victoria Brown of Women's Lacrosse and Nikola Cvetanovic of Men's Tennis for their efforts on their respective teams during the week.
Victoria Brown | Sophomore | #4 | Attack | Women's Lacrosse | Macungie, Pa.
Victoria Brown provided half of the offense for the Hawks against Southern Wesleyan over the weekend. Brown scored a career-high six goals to go with three ground balls, three caused turnovers, and three draw controls.
The Macungie, Pa. native scored four of her goals in the third quarter surge to put the Hawks in front 11-10.
Nikola Cvetanovic | Freshman | No. 3 | Men's Tennis | Leskovac, Serbia
Nikola Cvetanovic would go 2-0 over the weekend against Barton. Cvetanovic won at No. 2 doubles 6-2, before picking up the win at No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-3.
The Leskovac, Serbia native has won his last two matches in singles and doubles.
