MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2022-2023 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.
For the week of March 6 – March 12, Valentina Domenicone of Women's Tennis and Rowan Hudson of Baseball for their efforts on their respective teams during the week.
Valentina Domenicone | Junior | Women's Tennis | Santa Fe, Argentina
Valentina Domenicone posted a 7-0 week on the court during Spring Break. Valentina tallied four doubles victories along with three wins in singles action. The junior secured the 4-3 victory against Saginaw Valley State battling back to win in the third set.
Rowan Hudson | Redshirt Freshman | #21 | Infield | Baseball | Sunrise, Fla.
Rowan Hudson would provide a huge spark for the Hawks in a pair of wins last week. Hudson hit .353 with seven RBI and three home runs. The redshirt freshman started off the week with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th against Emory & Henry. Hudson would conclude his week with a pair of three-run home runs in a 12-9 victory against #23 Mount Olive.
