MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2022-2023 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of January 30 – February 5, Kyra Helton of Softball and Shane Rademacher for their efforts on their respective teams during the week.

Kyra Helton | #5 | OF | Freshman | Softball | Elon, N.C.

Kyra would help the Hawks to a season opening sweep against Virginia State going 3-5 at the plate with a double, triple, a walk, four runs scored, and 4-4 on stolen base attempts.

Shane Rademacher | #25 | Pitcher | Senior | Baseball | Greenville, N.C.

Shane picked up the no decision in the season opener against Limestone tossing six scoreless innings scattering three hits and striking out nine.
