MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2022-2023 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of February 13 – February 20, Ashley Mayes of Women's Swimming and Aleksei Belolipetskii of Men's Swimming for their efforts on their respective teams during the week.

Ashley Mayes | Junior | Women's Swimming | Fairfax, Va.

Ashley Mayes collected a Second Team All-Conference selection in the 100 Fly.  Ashley would also post the second fastest time in program history in the 100 Free at the Conference Carolinas Championships.

Aleksei Belolipetskii | Freshman | Men's Swimming | Volgograd, Russia

Aleksei Belolipetskii swam to three individual All-Conference selections and two relay All-Conference selections.  Aleksei became the first Chowan men's swimmer to be a Conference Champion earning the top spot in the 200 IM.  Belolipetskii added Third Team All-Conference selections in the 100 Breast and 100 Free.  He grabbed a Second Team All-Conference in the 200 Medley Relay and Third Team All-Conference in the 400 Medley Relay.

Aleksei posted NCAA 'B' Standard times in three events at the Conference Carolinas Championships.
