MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Football team suffered a 14-6 loss to West Alabama after failing to score in the redzone in Gulf South Conference action on Saturday.

Rashad McKee tossed for 342 yards with 137 yards going to Demetrius Moore on six receptions.
Chowan rushed for no yards on 26 carries as the Hawks were sacked four times.
Traevon Mitchell led the team with seven tackles including 2.5 TFLs. Kamari Matthews also posted seven tackles.
The Hawks outpaced the Tigers 342-242 in the contest.
Chowan was stopped inside the redzone three times including once at the one-yard line.
Jose Colunga went 2-3 on field goal attempts.
