CLINTON, MISS. – The Chowan Football team was unable to stop the two-headed attack of the Mississippi College rushing attack in Gulf South action on Saturday evening on the road.

Nic Wilson posted an 85-yd interception return for a touchdown to close the gap to 17-14 in the third quarter after trailing 17-0 at the half.
Evan McGhee and Dwayne Smith led the team with nine tackles each.
Rashad McKee rushed and passed for a touchdown including a 59 yard rushing touchdown to put the Hawks on the board. McKee's two interceptions in the contest came off dropped passes.
Tyree Holloway led the Hawks with three receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Mississippi College rushed for 261 yards with two players with over 100 yards rushing.
Mississippi College returned a kick-off 95 yards for a touchdown after the Hawks cut the deficit to 24-21 with 6:09 remaining. The Choctaws produced two interceptions off tipped passes.

Chowan returns home for the final time this season as the Hawks host West Alabama on October 28 for Senior Day and Hall of Fame Day. Kick-off is slated for 1pm.
