Chowan Tennis kicks off the weekend with a home match against UVA-Wise on Friday, September 23. First serve is slated for 3:30pm at the Rose Family Tennis Courts.
The Chowan Cross Country teams make the short trek up to Petersburg, Va. to compete in the Virginia State Invite on the campus of Virginia State.
Chowan Volleyball (4-8, 1-2) will be in action to conclude the day as the Hawks take on UNC Pembroke (6-10, 3-1) in Conference Carolinas action at 6pm. The Hawks are coming off a tough 3-1 loss to Mount Olive on Tuesday.
Saturday, September 24
Chowan Men's Soccer (2-4-1, 2-1-0) will start the day off with a Conference Carolinas match at Emmanuel (1-5-0, 1-3-0). Opening touch is slated for 1pm. Tren Drexhage leads the Hawks with four goals, while Harri Lovett and Leke Ademola have two goals each. Lovett paces the team with four assists.
The Chowan Volleyball (4-8, 1-2) team will take on Francis Marion (7-6, 2-2) at 1pm in league play to wrap up their weekend trip. Anixa Rosa-Martinez leads the team with 110 kills and 21 service aces.
The Chowan Women's Soccer (1-5-1, 1-1-1) team will take on the Lions of Emmanuel (3-5-1, 2-2-0) at 3:30pm. Lieke Van den Akker leads the team with two goals and one assist.
The Chowan Football (1-2, 1-0) team will look to continue to build off their comeback victory as the Hawks host Winston-Salem State (0-3, 0-1) under the lights in Garrison Stadium at 6pm. Caleb Pierce was named CIAA Quarterback and Rookie of the Week, along with Jamae Blank being named CIAA Defensive Lineman of the Week.
