MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team fell to Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday at home on Senior Day.

Jaxon Martin and Jackson Downs paced the team with a hat-trick. Erik Dozzi collected three assists and eight ground balls.
Eric George posted one goal and one assist. Sullivan Prince notched one assist. Camryn Snow posted three caused turnovers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter:
Belmont Abbey started quickly scoring four goals in the opening five minutes. Jaxon Martin put the Hawks on the board with an unassisted goal.
The Crusaders notched a pair of goals to lead 6-1 before Jackson Downs scored in the final seconds of the period to trail 6-2.
Second Quarter:
Jackson Downs would score a man-up goal to start the second frame as Eric George found Downs for the score.
BAC pushed their lead to 9-3 before Erik Dozzi found Eric George during the man-up opportunity. Sullivan Prince found Jackson Downs to cut the deficit to 9-5.
The Crusaders scored two goals in the final 20 seconds to lead 11-5 at the half.
Third Quarter:
Following a Crusader goal, Jaxon Martin found the back of the net of an assist by Erik Dozzi. BAC scored to end the frame to lead 13-6.
Fourth Quarter:
Erik Dozzi found Jaxon Martin for a goal for the Hawks as Belmont Abbey took the contest 19-7.
