MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team started quickly in a 13-9 victory over Alderson Broaddus at home on Saturday afternoon.

Eric George paced the Hawks with 10 points with seven goals and three assists.
Jaxon Martin and Noah Jalal chipped in with two goals each. Martin added two assists, while Jalal tallied one assist. Jackson Downs and Erik Dozzi found the back of the net one.
Hassan Davis recorded 16-24 from the face-off spot. Alec Rodopoulos posted the win in cage with 10 saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter:
Erik Dozzi would put the Hawks on the board with an unassisted tally. Jaxon Martin pushed the lead to 2-0 with an unassisted goal.
Eric George started his scoring outing with a goal off an assist from Noah Jalal. Jackson Downs and George posted unassisted goals to lead 5-0.
Alex Wildeboer found Eric George for another tally before George found Noah Jalal for a goal to lead 7-0 at the end of the opening frame.
Second Quarter:
Alderson Broaddus opened the frame with a goal before Erik Dozzi found Eric George for the response goal. Dozzi would find George again for a goal to lead 9-1.
The Battlers finished off the frame with a pair of goals in the final minute to trail 9-3 at the half.
Third Quarter:
Alderson Broaddus picked up two goals to close the gap to 9-5 before Jaxon Martin ended the run off an assist from Eric George.
ABU picked up a pair of goals to cut the deficit to 10-7 before Eric George found the back of the net off an assist from Jaxon Martin, 11-7.
Fourth Quarter:
Eric George and Jaxon Martin teamed up again to start the fourth quarter. Noah Jalal found the back of the net off an assist from George to lead 13-9.
ABU posted two goals in the final minute of play before the final buzzer.
