MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2022-2023 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of October 31 – November 6, Hadley Prince of Volleyball and Malik Tobias of Football for their efforts on their respective teams during the week.

Hadley Prince | DS | #11 | Sophomore | Volleyball | Lynchburg, Va.

Hadley produced 94 digs and four service aces in the three matches for the Hawks last week.  In the 3-2 victory over Barton in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Championship, Prince tied the school record for digs in a single match with 45 digs.

Malik Tobias | WR | #17 | Sophomore | Football | Concord, N.C.

Malik led the offense with a bang in the 54-8 rout over Elizabeth City State on the way to the CIAA Northern Division crown with four catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns.  Malik hauled in the first touchdown on a 51-yard reception to open the scoring on the first possession.  Early in the second quarter, Tobias made an acrobatic catch in the back of the endzone on a 37-yard touchdown.
