MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2022-2023 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of November 21 – November 27, Tyaysia Sharpe of Women's Basketball and Jaren Reid of Developmental Basketball for their efforts on their respective teams during the week.

Tyaysia Sharpe | G | #5 | Junior | Women's Basketball | Statesville, N.C.

Tyaysia stuffed the stat sheet in their contest against Francis Marion posting seven points, three steals, three rebounds, and five assists.

This season, Tyaysia is averaging 4.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.

Jaren Reid | G | #2 | Senior | Developmental Basketball | Suffolk, Va.

Although the developmental team did not play last week, Jaren Reid averaged 25.0 points per game in their last two contests.  Jaren started with a 25 point outing against Flight 22 before finishing up with a 25 point outing in a come-from-behind win, 75-61, against Hosanna Prep.  Reid scored 18 of his 25 points in the second half after trailing by seven at the half.
