MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Soccer team settled for a draw against league-leading Converse at home on Saturday afternoon.

Tren Drexhage scored his eighth goal of the season. Ausar Omwenga collected his second goal of the year. Harri Lovett served up his ninth assist of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Ausar Omwenga posted the first shot on goal in the contest in the 13' but was saved. Charlie Farrar made a save in the 17'.
Chowan posted the opening goal of the contest in the 22' as Harri Lovett sent in a cross that found the head of Tren Drexhage, who deposited the attempt into the back of the net.
Converse would answer in the 30' as the Valkyries were granted a penalty to equalize.
The Valkyries posted two shots in the final 15 minutes of the half that required assistance from Charlie Farrar to keep off the board.
Second Half:
Quickly in the second half, Ausar Omwenga put the Hawks in front as he dribbled through the defense and found the far post to lead 2-1 in the 47'.
Converse nearly found the equalizer in the 67' as a header in front of goal would sail over the crossbar. Ausar Omwenga almost gave the Hawks some breathing room in the 69' as his attempt from the left wing missed just to the right.
The Valkyries would find the equalizer in the 81' as the attempt found the far post.
Tren Drexhage tried to find the top right corner off a header in the 87' but just missed to finish out the contest.
