MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2022-2023 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of September 26 – October 1, Alexa Woolson of Volleyball and Tyrek McNeil of Football were named the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week for their efforts on their respective teams during the week.

Alexa Woolson | Setter | #7 | Senior | Volleyball | Williamsburg, Va.

Alexa produced her second double-double of the season recording 16 assists and 11 digs in the match against Shaw.  Woolson started off the match recording three service aces that led to a set victory.

Tyrek McNeil | RB | #26 | Junior | Football | Greensboro, N.C.

Tyrek accounted for 135 yards of total offense in the 13-10 loss to Fayetteville State.  McNeil had eight carries for 57 yards and hauled in six receptions for 78 yards.
