MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Soccer team posted their second consecutive shutout with a 2-0 victory over Emmanuel in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday.

Sabrina Henderson scored her fourth goal of the week and sixth of the season. Carolina Lucci scored her third goal of the season.
Sierra Gonzalez and Sabrina Henderson registered an assist on the afternoon.
Allison Traub picked up the win and shutout with seven saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Allison Traub made a save in the opening minutes of the contest before the Hawks went on the counter attack. Monae Moore had a shot blocked before Michelle Maksimovic had an attempt saved.
Sierra Gonzalez would send a through ball up from midfield to the streaking Sabrina Henderson, who finished the attempt into the far post for the 1-0 lead in the 16'.
Emmanuel had two shots that forced a save by Allison Traub. The Lions had a chance to find the equalizer in the 39' as Emmanuel was granted a penalty kick. Emmanuel would miss the attempt high.
Nicole Mejia would hit the post in the 41' before Cristina Flores tried to sneak one under the cross bar.
Second Half:
Carolina Lucci and Cristina Flores had attempts on frame that would be saved. Emmanuel would push forward seeking the equalizer.
The Hawks would find an insurance goal in the 89' as Sabrina Henderson played up the right sideline to the endline. Henderson would slot a pass across the face of goal allowing Carolina Lucci to find the back of the net for the 2-0 advantage.
