MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Soccer team saw their streak end as the Bobcats of Lees-McRae extended theirs in a 1-0 contest in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
Chowan was outshot 12-7 in the contest.  The Hawks did not post a shot on frame.
Lees-McRae tallied 12 corners in the contest compared to two for the Hawks.
Allison Traub registered three saves in the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Lees-McRae went on the prowl in the opening minutes of the contest as several shots would take aim at the goal but would miss high.
Regan Jackson and Sabrina Henderson had attempts blocked in the 31'.
Allison Traub made a save in the 40' to keep the match scoreless.
Second Half:
Nicole Mejia and Kayla Gonzalez posted attempts early in the frame but were not fruitful.
LMC would find the back of the net in the 61' as the Bobcats collected the ball in the box and made space to find the near post.
The Hawks had a chance at the equalizer in the 69' as Sabrina Henderson was unable to get enough on her attempt on a breakaway.  Henderson would draw a foul at the top of the box.  Michelle Maksimovic sent the free kick curling over the bar.
