MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Soccer team collected a shutout against Emmanuel in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday with a 3-0 victory.

Toby Sims collected two goals in the match to move his total to six on the season. James Randall notched his first career goal for the Hawks.
Harri Lovett and Aldair Anica Hernandez tallied assists in the win.
Charlie Farrar had an easy afternoon picking up the shutout as Emmanuel posted three total shots.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Aldair Anica Hernandez had his attempt saved in the opening two minutes off the match. James Randall and Timo De Graaf posted shots on frame that would be turned away.
Neither team mustered much offense in the opening frame as both teams went into intermission without scoring a goal.
Second Half:
The Hawks were able to crack the scoreboard as a long throw from Harri Lovett found the head of Toby Sims in the 65'. Sims would head the ball off a defender's back and cross the goal line for the 1-0 lead.
The attack for the Hawks continued in the 73' as Aldair Anica Hernandez pressured inside the box from the left wing finding James Randall in the congestion for a 2-0 lead.
Tren Drexhage would be fouled inside the box in the 78' allowing the Hawks to convert the penalty kick. Toby Sims would get enough on the attempt off the keeper to convert for the 3-0 advantage.
The back line did not allow a shot attempt by the Lions in the final 20 minutes of play.
