Jude McAtamney posted a school record 47-yd field goal to end the first half.

HAWK HIGHLIGHTS

Chowan enters the contest with a 2-0 record largely in part by two defensive stops in overtime the past two weeks.

The Hawks defensive unit is holding teams to 336.5 yards of total offense, a decrease of 93.6 yards on average in the past two football seasons.  Oddly enough, the Hawks have yet to force a turnover.

Bryce Witt has 505 yards passing for four touchdowns this season.  Laurence King and Imeek Watkins have been the top targets this season with King posting 12 receptions for 191 yards and two touchdowns.  Watkins adds 10 receptions for 170 yards and one touchdown.

Basilio Fernandez and Connor O'Brien lead the defense with 16 total tackles.  Rafiq Abdul-Wahid and Simeon Burns have 2.5 TFL with Abdul-Wahid posting 2.0 sacks.

GROUNDING THE FLYING FLEET

Erskine enters the contest with a 0-2 record and a 1-7 record since their return to the gridiron after a 70 year hiatus.  The Flying Fleet lost to Barton 38-25 in their last contest.

The Fleet are averaging 26.0 points per game while allowing 37.5.  Erskine also allows 450.0 yards of total offense with a large chunk (320.5) on the ground.

Craig Pender, Fleet signal caller, has 577 passing yards and four touchdowns with three interceptions.  Senika McKie has 300 yards receiving on 18 receptions and one score.
