SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Chowan Women's Golf opened up the first round of the Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship.

THE RESULTS

Annery Abreu opened the tournament with a 96 posting two pars and a birdie in the round.  Abreu is sitting 40th overall.

Sitting in 44th is Heidi Jensen, finishing the opening round with a 100.  Jensen notched four pars in the round.

Teja Whitehurst would finish the first round with a 130 to sit 46th overall.  Whitehurst carded a birdie on the par 3 15th hole.
