HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Barton went on the attack early as Ross Miller was required to make a save. Following the clearance, the Bulldogs would quickly go on the attack again as a through ball from the back found a streaking Bulldog behind the defense. Miller was unable to beat the attacker to the ball as Barton chipped the keeper for the 1-0 lead in the eighth minute.
Chowan looked for the equalizer as Harrison Ardron, London Williams, and Aldair Anica Hernandez had shots saved.
Barton took their 1-0 advantage into the half.
Second Half:
The defensive battle continued as Barton packed in the defense and did not allow a lot of lanes to open up for the Hawks. Zouhair Bettache tallied a shot on goal in the 56'.
One of the best looks of the evening came in the 74' as a ball played from Harri Lovett to Harrison Ardron sailed just high.
The final push for the Hawks came in the 87' as Toby Sims' attempt was blocked before Aldair Anica Hernandez had his attempt saved.
