MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Soccer cruised to a 4-1 win over Southern Wesleyan in Conference Carolinas action on Sunday afternoon.

Carolina Lucci scored her first two goals of the season.
Sabrina Henderson and Michelle Maksimovic posted a goal. Kaitlyn Waterman, Sydney Henderson, and Maksimovic recorded an assist.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
The Hawks went on the attack early as Sabrina Henderson posted a shot on target in the fourth minute. Carolina Lucci would receive a pass from the back-line defender, Kaitlyn Waterman, sliding a spinning shot over the diving keeper in the fifth minute for the 1-0 lead.
In the 12', Carolina Lucci would find the back of the net again on a breakaway after a through ball by Michelle Maksimovic.
Sabrina Henderson scored an unassisted tally in the 21' finding the far post from inside the box to lead 3-0.
SWU was able to muster an attack late in the period as Allison Traub was forced to make a save in the 28'. The Warriors posted their lone tally in the 32' as a breakaway would lead to a near post goal.
Second Half:
Michelle Maksimovic took a deflection and deposited the ball into the back of the net after the assist from Sydney Henderson.
Allison Traub picked up several saves down the stretch to maintain the 4-1 victory.
