PINEHURST, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Golf team concluded their opening tournament of the season at the Browngolf Intercollegiate on Saturday afternoon.

THE ROUND

Annery Abreu posted a tied for fifth finish after leading the field after round one.  Abreu posted a second round 89 to finish with seven pars on the day.

Heidi Jensen finished 43rd overall with a second round 127.  Teja Whitehurst made a huge improvement from round one to round two with a 40 stroke difference to finish with a second round score of 137.

Chowan will take Sunday off before competing in the Cherokee Valley Invitational hosted by North Greenville on Monday-Tuesday.
