TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Less than a minute into the second overtime, Aldair Anica Hernandez made an impact in his first season with the Chowan Men's Soccer program with the game-winner against North Greenville to start Conference Carolinas play on Sunday afternoon.

Aldair Anica Hernandez tallied the lone goal in the contest in the 101'. Harrison Ardron posted seven shots along with the assist to Hernandez.
Ross Miller picked up the shutout with four saves.
The Hawks posted 15 corners compared to the Crusaders' one. Chowan also outshot NGU 18-7 but both teams had four shots on frame.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After a NGU attempt on goal that was saved by Ross Miller, Harrison Ardron had his shot saved. Miller was called on again in the 17' off a free kick but was easily corralled.
Zouhair Bettache had his shot attempt blocked in the 22'. NGU had a free kick on the left side of the box near the end line but the set play by the Crusaders would be thwarted by the Hawks.
Chowan had back-to-back corner attempts in the 37', but was unable to record a shot. In the 40', Harrison Ardron's attempt would miss just right of the post. Sam Hall posted a shot missing left 90 seconds later from distance.
Both teams would head into halftime scoreless.
Out of the intermission, Harrison Ardron's attempt from the top of the box would be deflected out for a corner kick.
The middle portion of the second half was physical as three yellows and a handful of fouls were called.
In the 75', Toby Sims had a pair of attempts blocked and cleared away from the goal. Aldair Anica Hernandez missed an attempt wide right.
Harrison Ardron had an attempt from close range denied in the 81' and sent a second attempt high.
Ardron had an attempt early in the overtime period miss to the right. Alejandro Abreu-Cruz had an attempt blocked in the 93'.
Ross Miller made a save in the 96' on a shot in the right lower corner. Miller would be forced to make a save in the 100' to send the match to double overtime.
42 seconds into the second overtime, Kai Rymes sends a ball up to Harrison Ardron near midfield before slotting a through ball to the left side of the box finding Aldair Anica Hernandez for the game-winner.
