WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NOTES

Chowan is on a two game win streak to improve to 3-3 overall and 3-1 in league play after sweeping the weekend against Erskine and Emmanuel.

Destiny Robinson continues to average a double-double this season after coming up just short in the past two games after registering four double-doubles to start the season.  Robinson is averaging 16.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.  Aniah Patterson chips in with 11.5 points per game.

LEASHING THE BULLDOGS

Barton comes into the contest with a 6-1 overall record and 2-1 in league play after suffering their first loss of the season over the weekend.

Three-time Conference Carolinas Player and Defensive Player of the Year, Shanika Peterkin, leads the team with 17.1 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.  Akira Wiggins (16.4), Lauren Walker (14.0), and Jami Tham (13.9) score in double-figures.

MEN'S BASKETBALL HIGHLIGHTS

Chowan continues to get closer to their first win of the season falling to 0-6 on the season and 0-4 in league play.

Jay Estime and Christian Koonce lead the team with 12.7 and 12.5 points per game respectively.  RJ Wilson contributes 8.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per night.

CAGING THE BULLDOGS

Barton is sporting a 3-4 overall record and a 1-2 clip in conference play.  The Bulldogs are coming off a pair of losses this weekend to Emmanuel and Belmont Abbey.

Donaven Hairston leads the team with 18.9 points per game.  Marcus Boykin (15.0) and Malik Bryant (12.2) are also in double-figures.
