WOMEN'S SOCCER NOTES
Chowan is 2-1-1 in their last four matches to improve to 4-10-1 on the season and 6-6-1 in league play. The Hawks sit in seventh in the league standings holding the tiebreaker with Emmanuel.
Sabrina Henderson leads the team with nine goals and four assists on the season. Carolina Lucci has eight goals and two assist this season. Lucci has scored five goals in the past four matches.
With a win or draw, the Hawks will make the Conference Carolinas Tournament.
WEATHERING THE TORNADO
King enters the contest with a 4-9-1 overall record and a 3-7-1 mark in league play. King is 1-6-1 at home this season. The Tornado have scored 12 goals this season led by Presley Bacon with three goals and Veronica Roach and Mackenzie Winters with two goals each.
NATIONALLY RANKED MEN'S SOCCER UPDATES
Chowan started the week ranked #20 in the country and eighth in the Super Region 2 NCAA poll. The Hawks have a 10-3-1 overall record and an 8-1-1 record in league play.
Toby Sims paces the offense with 11 goals on the season, second in the Conference Carolinas. Harri Lovett has 12 assists, most in the league. James Randall has found the back of the net four times, while Erik Ruiz, London Williams, and Timo De Graaf have scored three times.
Charlie Farrar leads the Conference Carolinas in GAA with 0.98 this season.
The Hawks can wrap up the second seed in the Conference Carolinas Tournament, with a bye to the semifinals with a win.
AVOIDING THE AFTERMATH
King started off the season with a 2-1-1 overall record and have been winless in their last nine tries falling to a 2-9-2 overall record to post a 0-9-1 league record.
The Tornado have struggled to find the back of the net posting eight goals on the season led by Mate Lengyel with three goals. Den Delisle has one goal and four assists.
