MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Conference Carolinas announced its 2026 Men's Soccer All-Conference honors, selected by the league's head coaches, with four members of the Chowan University men's soccer team earning recognition following a successful regular season.
The Hawks placed two players on the First Team and two on the Third Team. Freshman forward Andre Camargo and junior midfielder Robbie Deighan earned First Team All-Conference honors, while freshman forward Fernando Hernandez and junior midfielder Ken Naito were named to the Third Team. Chowan finished the regular season with a 9-4-2 overall record and an 8-3 mark in conference play, capturing the Conference Carolinas East Division title.
Camargo had an outstanding freshman campaign, leading the Hawks offensively with 10 goals and five assists for 25 points. He recorded 32 shots, putting 18 on target, and scored four goals in Chowan's 5-1 victory over Tampa on September 30. His performance against the Spartans tied the program's single-game goals record and helped the Hawks continue their strong offensive season. Camargo's production made him one of the conference's leading offensive threats and earned him First Team All-Conference recognition in his debut collegiate season.
Deighan also played a key role in Chowan's attacking success, finishing the regular season with nine goals and one assist for 19 points. The junior recorded 28 shots, including 13 on goal, and provided a consistent scoring presence throughout the campaign. Deighan recorded a hat trick in Chowan's 10-2 victory over Ferrum on October 3, helping the Hawks produce one of their highest-scoring performances of the season. His nine goals ranked second on the team, earning him First Team All-Conference honors.
Hernandez made an immediate impact in his freshman season, finishing with seven goals and one assist for 15 points. He led the Hawks with 36 shots and placed 19 on target while recording two game-winning goals. Hernandez scored twice in Chowan's 4-0 victory over Mount Olive on October 20, helping the Hawks secure another important conference win. His offensive contributions throughout the season earned him Third Team All-Conference recognition.
Naito contributed to the Hawks' success in the midfield, providing offensive support and helping create scoring opportunities for his teammates. The junior recorded four assists and finished the regular season with 31 shots, including 13 on goal. Naito contributed to Chowan's attacking efforts throughout the campaign, including a goal and an assist in the Hawks' 8-0 victory over Barton on September 16 and another assist in their 4-0 win over Mount Olive on October 20. His consistent contributions earned him Third Team All-Conference honors.
The four selections highlight Chowan's offensive production and depth as the Hawks prepare for postseason play. After capturing the Conference Carolinas East Division title, Chowan enters the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship as the No. 4 seed and will continue their pursuit of a conference championship.
