WINGATE, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Soccer team suffered a 4-0 loss in non-conference action on the road against Wingate on Wednesday afternoon.

Wingate outshot the Hawks 27-3 overall and 15-2 on frame.
Allison Traub made seven saves in the opening half of play. Kirsten Peterson made three saves in the second half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Allison Traub was forced to make three saves in the opening six minutes of play before Carolina Lucci put a shot on frame in the 11' that required a save.
Wingate would find the back of the net in the 15' off a corner kick to lead 1-0.
Allison Traub made another save in the 24' after the back line defense produced a team save.
The Bulldogs took a 2-0 advantage in the 29' before adding three more shots on frame in the half.
Mackenzie Burgoyne tallied a shot on frame in the waning minutes of the period.
Second Half:
Wingate tacked on a goal in the 62' and 68' to push their advantage to 4-0.
Kirsten Peterson collected three saves in the period to finish off the contest.
