DUE WEST, S.C. – The Chowan Men's Soccer team scored three goals in the opening 23 minutes of play as the Hawks cruised to the shutout victory over Erskine in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday.

James Randall, London Williams, and Tren Drexhage tallied a goal for the Hawks. Toby Sims picked up two assists, while Harri Lovett and Aldair Anica Hernandez posted one assist.
Harri Lovett's assist on the Hawks' first goal propelled him to the top of the career assist list for the Hawks with 23 in his career.
Charlie Farrar registered one save in the shutout performance.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Tren Drexhage had his shot blocked in the opening minutes of the contest. Drexhage's next attempt would require a save by the Erskine keeper.
Off a set piece, London Williams found the back of the net in the 5' as Harri Lovett sent in the free kick and found Toby Sims, who flicked it over to Williams for the goal.
The Hawks would find the back of the net again in the 10' as Toby Sims sent in a ball from the back line allowing James Randall to collect the ball and deposit the attempt into the left corner for the 2-0 lead.
Charlie Farrar made his lone save in the 16' forcing a corner kick.
Tren Drexhage was able to find the back of the net off an assist from Aldair Anica Hernandez in the 23' to lead 3-0.
Aldair Anica Hernandez posted a shot on frame in the 39' but was turned away.
Second Half:
The Hawks' offense slowed in the second half as Toby Sims registered the only shot on frame in the half.
Five shots for Erskine were either blocked or sailed wide in the half.
