MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-0 shutout against Barton in Conference Carolinas action on senior day on Wednesday afternoon.

Zouhair Bettache, Sam Hall and Toby Sims were honored prior to the match for senior day.
Sam Hall registered his second goal of the season in the second half.
Charlie Farrar notched two saves in the match while holding Barton to only five shots.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Toby Sims posted the first shot attempt in the contest as his headed attempt sailed high in the 12'. London Williams had a pair of shots in the 16' as his first attempt would be blocked before his second attempt was pushed over the bar for a corner kick.
The defensive battle went into the half without Barton recording a shot.
Second Half:
Barton received a free kick from the left wing outside the box in the 47'. The attempt would be easily corralled by Charlie Farrar.
After a run of yellow cards, the Hawks would find the back of the net in the 59'. Harri Lovett sent in a cross into the box before the headed clearance by the Bulldogs found Sam Hall on the left side of the box. Hall would deposit the attempt into the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.
Sam Hall tried to put the Hawks up 2-0 in the 80' as his attempt was saved. Aldair Anica Hernandez had an attempt in the 82' that was turned away.
The Hawks were forced to play a man-down for the final seven minutes of play because of a second yellow.
Barton registered one shot in the 90' but fell right into the arms of Charlie Farrar for an easy save.
