CENTRAL, S.C. – Carolina Lucci collected her third career hat-trick as the Chowan Women's Soccer team snapped their skid with a 5-2 victory over Southern Wesleyan on Saturday in league action.

Carolina Lucci tallied a hat-trick, while Sabrina Henderson collected two goals and one assist.
Michelle Maksimovic posted a career-high three assists. Allison Traub posted two saves without allowing a goal in 69:39 of the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Cristina Flores posted two shots on goal in the opening minutes of the contest before Carolina Lucci put the Hawks on the board off an assist from Michelle Maksimovic in the 6' to lead 1-0.
Michelle Maksimovic sent in a cross off a corner kick in the 27' and found the foot of Sabrina Henderson on the right side of the box to lead 2-0.
In the 34', Sabrina Henderson added to the lead off another corner kick by Michelle Maksimovic to put the Hawks up 3-0.
Second Half:
Twenty-eight seconds into the half, Sabrina Henderson would slot a through ball to Carolina Lucci for the goal and the 4-0 lead.
Allison Traub made both of her saves following the goal before Carolina Lucci scored an unassisted goal in the 57' to lead 5-0.
Southern Wesleyan would get on the board in the 76' and again in the 87' to cut the deficit to 5-2.
