MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The hot shooting of Emmanuel in the first half allowed the Lions to hand the Chowan Men's Basketball team their fourth straight loss, 80-63, in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon.

Jonathan McFall tallied a game-high 20 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks to pace the Hawks. Jaylen Dilliard continued his hot shooting going 6-6 from the floor for 16 points.
Elijah Hill tallied 12 points and six rebounds. Jaedon Willis notched seven points.
Emmanuel shot 58.6% in the opening half and 53.3% (8-15) from behind the arc. The Lions shot 34.5% in the second half. Chowan was 5-21 from deep in the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Jaylen Dilliard started the scoring for the Hawks with a layup along with a bucket by Tahkey Williams. Emmanuel would start the contest with back-to-back three-pointers to take a 6-4 advantage. Jonathan McFall tacked on a pair from the stripe and Jaedon Willis tallied a jumper as Emmanuel led 10-8.
Jonathan McFall posted a jumper before a 10-1 run by the Lions pushed their lead to double-figures, 22-11. Jaedon Willis and Elijah Hill tallied a bucket each as Emmanuel maintained their lead. Hill and Jaylen Dilliard knocked down a pair of triples to trail 34-24.
Jaedon Willis picked up a point at the stripe along with a bucket by Jonathan McFall and Jaylen Dilliard cut the deficit to single-digits. Dilliard knocked down a triple that was answered by the Lions.
Emmanuel pushed ahead to lead 52-37 at the half after a jumper by Jaylen Dilliard and a pair from the stripe by Elijah Hill.
Second Half:
The Hawks were the aggressor the opening five minutes of the half going on an 11-2 run to cut the deficit to six, 54-48. Jaylen Dilliard started off the second half with four quick points before the next seven points came from Jonathan McFall on a pair of layups and a triple.
A pair of free throws by Jaedon Willis kept the deficit in single-digits before a quick 7-0 spurt by the Lions over the next minute pushed the lead to 64-50. Xavier Young knocked down a triple and Jonathan McFall notched two from the charity stripe to cut the deficit to nine, 64-55. McFall finished off the dunk and free throw to keep the deficit at nine.
Elijah Hill knocked down a jumper to cut the deficit to 67-60 before the Lions went on a 13-3 run over the remaining 9:13 to take the victory 80-63. Xavier Young picked up a point from the stripe and Jonathan McFall tallied a jumper during the stall.
