MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Lacrosse battled with Ferrum until a second half run by the Panthers would hand the Hawks a 12-7 loss in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon.

Tashana Barnett and Misten White registered hat-tricks in the loss with three goals each. Lela Knight would produce a goal as well.
Leia Cabradillia, Karly Timmons, Danielle Henry, and Brooke Woods-Pennell posted an assist.
Mallory Dunker recorded a career-high 17 saves in the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Ferrum would open the scoring in the contest less than five minutes in to take a 1-0 lead. Less than a minute later, Danielle Henry found Misten White for the tying goal.
90 seconds after Misten White's goal, Leia Cabradillia found Lela Knight to put the Hawks ahead 2-1.
The Panthers would score the next three goals to regain the lead 4-2 midway through the opening half.
Karly Timmons found Misten White for a goal with 10:28 remaining for the final goal of the half as the Hawks trailed 4-3 at the intermission.
Second Half:
Tashana Barnett scored two unassisted goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half to even the score both times at 4-all and 5-all.
Tashana Barnett would find the back of the net once again on an unassisted tally to even the score at 6-aside before Ferrum rattled off five straight goals to lead 11-6.
Brooke Woods-Pennell found Misten White to end the run to close the gap to 11-7. Ferrum scored with under a minute to play to take the victory 12-7.
