ELKINS, W.VA. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team ran their win streak to four in a row with a 16-7 victory against Davis & Elkins in the final game of the West Virginia tour on Saturday afternoon.

Patrick Egan led the Hawks with seven goals for his third game with a hat-trick. Jaxon Martin registered his third hat-trick of the season with three goals and two assists.
Jason Jenkins II and Austin Lee tallied two goals each. Jenkins also recorded two assists. Matthew Leone and Jackson Downs scored once. Noah Holloway chipped in with two assists.
Slater Bender picked up his fourth win in cage with 12 saves. Bender tallied his second assist of the season in the third quarter. The Hawks were 4-7 in extra man opportunities.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter:
Davis & Elkins struck first after the initial save by Slater Bender. Thirty seconds later, Jason Jenkins II found Jaxon Martin to even the score at 1-all.
Neither team would find the back of the net until Patrick Egan scored an unassisted tally with 2:06 remaining to lead 2-1. Jackson Downs scored the man-up goal with 0:19 left off an assist from Jaxon Martin.
D&E scored with one second left to trail 3-2.
Second Quarter:
Chowan took advantage of the scoring drought in the period by the Senators to lead 8-2. Jason Jenkins II tallied the first goal of the period just 48 seconds in.
Austin Lee found Patrick Egan for the man-up goal followed by a man-up goal by Jaxon Martin off the assist from Jason Jenkins II to lead 6-2.
Patrick Egan scored a man-up goal with 3:40 remaining to lead 7-2. Jaxon Martin finished off the half with a goal with Noah Holloway assisting.
Third Quarter:
Austin Lee scored twice in the period to offset the two goals by the Senators to lead 10-4. Slater Bender picked up an assist on Matthew Leone's goal late in the period.
D&E scored to cut the deficit to 11-5 before the final stanza.
Fourth Quarter:
Patrick Egan started his run of goals early in the fourth quarter as Jaxon Martin found Egan for the goal.
Jason Jenkins II netted an unassisted goal before D&E got on the board.
Noah Holloway found Patrick Egan for the first off three straight goals to lead 16-6.
The Senators scored a late goal to trail 16-7.
